Barefoot Workshops: telling stories that make a difference.

Some 200 people have looked at “The Devil Showed Me How” over the last few days.  It’s been shared on Facebook some 50 times.

It is a story of a man in Clarksdale, Mississippi claims to have sold his soul to the Devil in order to make his living by playing dice and cards.  It features Puddin’ Hatchett, Robert Birdsong and Bobby Tarzi, and the Faustian myth about selling one’s soul to a devil out on a crossroads is a familiar theme here… in the birthplace of the blues.

Produced by Barefoot Workshops and Blue Magnolia Films , the film is by Kim Williams & Victor Cosby that was done in a 2009 two-week workshop under the instruction of Chandler Griffin, Edward Symes, Julia Kumari Drapkin & Jess Reynolds.
