Bishop T.T. Scott

Bishop Timothy Titus Scott, Sr., pastor of St. James Temple Church of God in Christ in Clarksdale.

Bishop Timothy Titus Scott, Sr. is the pastor of St. James Temple Church of God in Christ in Clarksdale, and also the Jurisdictional Bishop of Northern Mississippi.  He is also a helpful, much respected and honored leader throughout the Clarksdale community.

Born in East Chicago into a large family, young Timothy attended schools in Mississippi.  He graduated from Saints Industrial School, and after military service, he received a B. S. degree in Social Science from Mississippi Valley State College.

After finding the ministry as his life’s calling, he met and married Ms. Cherry Mae Mitchell.  They had a large family of wonderful children.

Bishop Scott’s pastoral ministry began with the St. Matthew Church of God in Christ, Yazoo County, MS.  He then served the Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ, Pickens, MS., and for decades he later served as Pastor of the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, Drew, MS.

He has been the pastor of St. James Temple Church of God in Christ in Clarksdale since 1972.
