The City of Clarksdale and Mayor Chuck Espy sponsored Clarksdale small business forum was heavily attended, and will now become a bi-annual event to help Clarksdale business grow. It is also a forum for business owners to discuss their needs so that the City can help local businesses prosper as much as possible.
After opening comments by Mayor Chuck Espy, speaking at the event were Latisha Wade from the Mississippi Development Authority, who discussed certification for Women and Minority Owned Businesses; City of Clarksdale Economic Development Director Mac Crank, who highlighted services and tax credit incentives from various entities; Coahoma County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jon Levingston, who focused on small business development assistance from the Chamber of Commerce; Zakeena Johnson (not pictured below) of the Win Job Center, who featured job training programs from her Win Job Center; and Clarksdale Marketing Consultant Richard Bolen, who discussed new media marketing opportunities and assistance.
