Barefoot Workshops: telling stories that make a difference.
Welcome to Clarksdale Stories, a resource of professionally produced photo stories about our remarkable town and its culture.
Starting back in 2012, each story is done by students who are directed by Barefoot Workshops, a New York City based non-profit organization that teaches individuals and organizations how to use digital video, new media and the arts to transform their communities.
Each year, Barefoot Workshops leads documentary workshops here in Clarksdale, throughout the Mississippi Delta, and in Marfa, Texas and Cape Town, South Africa. Their inspiring work is led by founder and director, Chandler Griffin and Program Director, Alison Fast.
